Savings Interest Calculator ("we," "us," or "our") operates savingsinterestcalculator.com. This page explains what information is collected when you use this site and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Tool inputs: every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Values you enter into the calculators are never transmitted to or stored on any server.
• Fonts: this site loads its typefaces (IBM Plex Serif, Sans, and Mono) from Google Fonts' content delivery network. Loading a font this way causes your browser to send a request to Google that includes your IP address. Google's Fonts API does not set or read cookies, but the IP address in that request can count as personal data under some privacy laws, including the EU's GDPR. We're evaluating hosting these fonts ourselves to remove this dependency.
• Usage data: this site uses Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool, to understand overall traffic and which pages are useful. Umami records aggregate data such as page views, referring sites, browser and device type, and country-level location. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address in identifiable form, does not build a profile of you individually, and cannot track you across other websites.
• Cookies: this site does not set any cookies. Neither Google Fonts nor Umami, the two third-party services described above, set or read cookies.

How we use this information

Because calculator inputs stay in your browser, we don't collect or use them. This site makes two third-party requests: to Google Fonts, solely to deliver typefaces, and to Umami, solely to understand aggregate site traffic. Neither service is used for advertising, and neither builds a profile that identifies you individually. This site does not currently display advertising. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the specific networks in use, and the effective date above will be revised.

Your rights and choices

California residents: the CCPA/CPRA's full disclosure and opt-out requirements apply to businesses that meet certain thresholds, generally based on annual revenue or the volume of California residents' data processed. This site does not currently meet those thresholds and does not sell or share personal information. If that changes as the site grows, this policy will be updated to add formal data-request and opt-out mechanisms.

EU/UK residents: the only personal data processed by this site is the IP address sent to Google as part of loading fonts, described above. We don't otherwise collect, store, or process personal data. Use our contact form with any questions.

Since this site doesn't set cookies, there's nothing to manage through a cookie banner today.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Advertising and analytics

This site uses Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool, to understand overall traffic and which pages people find useful. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across other websites -- see "Usage data" above for what it actually records. This site does not currently display advertising. If Google AdSense is added in the future, this policy will be updated before it goes live to name the specific third-party cookies and ad networks involved and explain how to opt out of personalized advertising. If the site becomes eligible for EEA, UK, or Switzerland ad traffic, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform will be added to obtain consent before any non-essential cookies are set, consistent with Google's EU User Consent Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date whenever we do, even if the changes are minor.
